The evening was setting in. It was sunset, and Aayushi, Shivani, and Raavi were walking out of the college, enjoying themselves. They had been studying in the college library until late evening and were now heading home.Suddenly, Aayushi's eyes caught something in the distance, behind a tree. She saw Aarush standing there. Seeing him, Aayushi's face lit up, but within moments, all the glow vanished from her face.Aarush was standing behind a tree, away from the college gate. Just then, a girl walked up to him. Slowly, the girl started moving closer to Aarush. Aarush, being the confident and composed person he was, didn’t step back, and the girl continued getting closer to him.But perhaps it was Aarush's bad luck that Aayushi happened to be passing by at that very moment and noticed the two of them. Seeing them together sparked wild thoughts in Aayushi's little mind. Aarush, unaware of her presence, didn’t realize that Aayushi was watching.The girl moved closer to Aarush and started talking to him. She handed him a pen drive and then walked away.Aayushi, filled with anger, glanced at the scene one last time and left with Raavi and Shivani. Raavi and Shivani headed to their PG, while Aayushi went home. As soon as she reached home, Aayushi rushed to her room and flopped onto her bed, burying her face in her pillow. Thoughts of Aarush and the girl kept replaying in her mind, and tears began streaming down her face.Suddenly, Aayushi got up and, pacing around her room, said to herself, "Now... now I won’t even talk to him! He... he let that girl get so close to him... even though he always says that no one dares to come near him except me!" Aayushi started sobbing again.
